Welcome Back to Orchestra!
All levels welcome and no experience required!

Students will be grouped in classes of similar instruments and ages, where they will learn how to play their desired woodwind, brass, or string instrument (including ukulele and piano!). This program is designed to keep music FUN, so students should expect to play many familiar songs throughout the 25+ week program, in addition to learning the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony and traditional note reading.

Smaller group classes will come together as one larger ensemble in the spring, culminating in a final year-end concert!

Instruments

  • Kindergarteners and 1st graders may choose the violin or piano/keyboard.

  • 2nd graders may choose the violin, ukulele, or piano/keyboard.

  • 3rd graders may choose the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, pBone mini, ukulele, or piano/keyboard.

  • 4th and 5th graders may choose the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone, ukulele, or piano/keyboard.

Schedule
Instruction begins in October and runs through the spring, culminating in a school concert in May.

Thirty to forty minute small group lessons will be held each Thursday after school between 1:45 PM and 4:00 PM. Please keep that time block free on Thursdays. This flexibility in scheduling will allow us to create classes best suited for the enrollment.

The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To aid in your planning, note that beginning classes will be held earlier than intermediate and advanced level classes.

Once the schedule is available, please have your child’s schedule clear for their assigned 30 – 40 minute time block. Students waiting to take a later lesson may opt to go home with parents and then return to school at lesson time. Or, contact the school regarding available campus supervision for students waiting to take their lesson.

All kindergarten students should be picked up immediately following the conclusion of their class.

Program Costs

A program fee is requested from each participant to cover the entire 25+ week school year spanning October through May.

Participants can pay for the entire year in two ways:

  • one discounted payment of $650 – due with registration

  • two payments of $350 each – first payment due now, second payment automatically charged on December 1st

Free Music Tuition and Instrument Rental:
A parent volunteer is needed to assist with administrative logistics on Thursdays. If you are available every Thursday from 1:45 PM – 4:00 PM to help, please email Jason directly at [email protected]. Parent volunteers receive a full tuition waiver and free instrument rental in exchange for their weekly assistance.
