Campus

The eight acre campus of Topanga Elementary Charter School is split over three distinct levels. The different grades have separated play areas. The kindergarten playground is right behind the T.K. room and the school administration rooms.

There is a lower yard, where kinder and first grade classes are located. Here there is a lovely stage, the site of informal gatherings, and a garden area. The school library is situated off the lowest yard.

There is the middle playground which is used as a secondary parking lot at drop off but then transforms into the first and second graders playground.

"The upper" is where the majority of the PE classes are held and where the third, fourth and fifth graders have recess. Access to the hikes and outdoor amphitheater are behind the auditorium. The auditorium is where lunch is served and where school assembles for Winter and Spring shows and concerts. The Science and Technology lab is located in the upper yard, along with the STAR after-school program's dedicated classroom and the building that houses the Art Room and the Music Room. LAUSD's Beyond the Bell after-school program is hosted on the playground in the upper yard or in the auditorium on rainy days.

The Topanga Elementary Charter weekly school assembly is held outside the main offices in the central playground.
